Adopt a Pup
When you’ve decided that you’d like to adopt one of my puppies, here’s what to expect—and how to get started.
1 — Fill out your Adoption Application
It’s important to me to find the best families and homes for my puppies. So by filling out my online Adoption Application form I can learn more about you, the people in your family, your home, and your readiness to care for a dog.
2 — Follow Up Conversation
Once you’ve submitted your application, I’ll reach out so that we can talk more about next steps, your puppy preferences, or other questions that arise along the way.
3 — Pay Your Deposit
If you’re cleared to adopt, you’ll pay a non-refundable deposit to reserve your own pup. Deposits are $500 for all breeds. Payments are accepted by Venmo, the Cash app, or Zelle. Color and marking preferences are available after deposit, on a first “come, first serve” basis.
4 — Watch for puppy updates
After your puppy is born, I’ll begin to send photos and videos your way. This helps those first 8 weeks before pickup fly by. You’ll start making memories with your puppy before you even bring it home!
5 — Make your final payment
Your final payment is due on or before the day you take delivery of your puppy (I don’t offer any payment plans beyond delivery day). Payments are accepted by Venmo, the Cash app, or Zelle.
06 — Take Delivery of your puppy!
After your pup is 8 weeks old, you can finally take your new pet home. We’ll decide upon a meetup place where I can deliver your pup, along with a “puppy pack” to help you get started in loving the little one.
Do you live outside of California, or far from Sacramento? I can arrange for one of my “puppy nannies” to fly with your pup to the airport nearest you for a convenient, in-person delivery. This service carries an additional fee based on distance traveled. Contact me to arrange for your delivery.
